Seeking advice on how to start with classic-style digital games

I’ve been curious about trying some of the older-style digital games, but I’m not sure where to begin. Most of what I see today is very fast-paced and competitive, which isn't really my style. I want something that feels more deliberate and easy to understand, like the games I remember from years ago. Is there a specific genre or a particular title that is good for someone who wants to avoid complexity and just enjoy the process?

The best way to start is by looking for titles that use a three-reel or basic grid system. These are usually much more intuitive than modern multi-layered games. You can find plenty of videos demonstrating Wacky Panda to see if that specific style appeals to you. It’s a very straightforward approach where you can clearly see what is happening on the screen at all times. I suggest starting with something colorful and slow-paced to get a feel for the mechanics.
